Revit Survey Models

SUMO Measured Building has been producing BIM of existing buildings for the industry since 2014. With a fully operational and dedicated team, we can produce quality pre-deliverables and models in-house. We have tailored our service to make our models and other deliverables economic, easy to use and accessible.

Example of a SUMO Revit model - SUMO were asked to produce a model of The Comet Hotel which  is Grade II listed. The Revit model focused on the detailed elements including brickwork features and sills, and an internal Art Deco staircase and ceiling covings

Having developed an in-house specification, SUMO Measured Building provides clear definitions outlining the different levels of detail and levels of information. This specification also addresses the differing needs over the lifetime of projects through planning, detailed design, construction and operation. We have also worked hard to make it clear where choices in specification affect cost, with a series of project rate benchmarks both for data collection and processing.

With ranging levels of 3D model offerings, we can also produce high quality models which meet the Level 2 BIM requirements. Level 2 BIM involves developing discipline specific, data rich, models which are federated together in a collaborative 3D environment. Our industry leading experts have many years’ experience supporting teams on Level 2 BIM projects.

SUMO would be happy to consult with you on your scope, to help tailor a cost-effective, clearly defined survey and model brief that integrates with the design, construction and operation of your buildings.

The range of options for survey models is wide and varied and can be customised to suit your project needs. However, in order to simplify the specification, we have three typical levels of model that are suited to many typical situations. We have created the SUMO ready-reckoner which outlines these three typical levels of model and you can view the ready-reckoner below:
