SUMO’s move makes space for team growth
Fresh faces and new premises are on the cards this autumn for a leading UK supplier of underground utility detection services to the construction industry.
SUMO Services’ Havant headquarters are relocating to larger premises to allow for further growth and expansion. The move follows SUMO’s recruitment of seven new team members.
Mike Bushell, SUMO’s managing director, “This move is excellent news for SUMO. It highlights just how fast we are expanding and how well the Company is doing.”
The new industrial unit features increased office space and is located just a few hundred metres from the former site.
“The last twelve months have seen extensive growth for SUMO including the launch of our new topographic franchise service and our expansion into the domestic market. As a result, we have brought several new members of staff on board, each with a wealth of skills and experience,” added Mike.
The new members of staff are James Reid, Lee Weatherhead, Keith Harris-Hughes and Tony Mugaji who have been employed as Topographic surveyors, AutoCAD administrator Jim Furse.
“It’s fantastic to be joining SUMO at such an exciting time and I’m really looking forward to working for a company that is developing so strongly,” said Jim, one of the new team members.
SUMO scoped two national industry awards in 2006 and has worked on many prestigious construction sites across the UK including large town centre regeneration projects, new hospitals and major road building schemes.
Recent sites surveyed across the UK include St Marys Hospital, Portsmouth, St Lukes Hospital, Middlesborough, Trent Bridge Cricket Ground and Manchester Airport.
