Senior Operations / Business Development Manager (Potential Director)
– Land and Utility Surveys

 
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in contract, operation and project management, together with excellent business development skills, plus experience in developing key accounts and building long-term relationships, preferably with a background in land and utility surveying. 

Combined with the ability to relate to both office and field staff alike, the chosen candidate will also be expected to provide customer support & logistics by taking a hands-on approach to large and / or complicated jobs, carrying out pre-start risk assessments, recommending appropriate solutions, providing / approving final quotations and overseeing the jobs through from conception to completion, including ensuring that the final results are quality checked, prior to their submission to our clients, thereby maintaining SUMO’s high quality standards.

Senior Estimator – Land and Utility Surveys

The ideal candidate will have several years experience in land and utility surveying, with the ability to analyse and identify the necessary resources (both in terms of manpower and technology) required to complete a potential survey.  As such, the position is probably most suited to a mature individual, who wants to come in from the cold! Full training in the SUMO methodology and systems will be given and preference will be shown to those candidates who also have additional experience of working and / or negotiating with clients. The position will be based in our Havant office and will come with an appropriate employment package.

Land Surveyors

The ideal candidates will have several years experience in all aspects of land surveying, including the use of the latest equipment, technologies and the processing of data.  Full training in the SUMO methodology will be given and preference will be shown to those candidates who also have additional experience of measured building, geophysical or utility surveying. The position will involve substantial travel and will come with an appropriate employment package. Immediate opportunities exist in the Midlands areas, but as a nationwide business, we have vacancies throughout the country.

Registration Surveyor

We are looking for an individual with a Land Surveying background to join our scanning registration team based in our Havant head office.  

The ideal candidate would have experience in Land and Measured Building Surveying, as well as having the ability to register scan data using one or more of Leica Cyclone, Faro Scene and Trimble Realworks software.  

Daily tasks would not only include registration, but also the production of pre-deliverables such as graphic scaled plans and web-shares etc; There would also be a requirement to carry out site work on occasions, including instrument control and scanning as required.
