CAD Technician
The SUMO Group of companies are looking to expand the teams based in Havant in Hampshire and St Austell in Cornwall, to meet an increasing workload and currently seeking a CAD technician. This permanent position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of different projects carried out throughout the country by our 5 regional offices.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and happy to work as part of the team or on an individual basis, we are looking for someone with the ability to think laterally, who possesses exemplary communication skills, has strong commercial awareness and someone who will provide a first class service to our clients.
We are looking for someone to produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings for Topographic and Utility surveys, as well as floor plans, elevations and sections.

The idea candidate should have:
​

2+ Years’ experience using Autodesk AutoCAD for the production of a variety of survey deliverables
-
Knowledge of Trimble/Leica/Faro processing software would be advantageous
-
Knowledge of the survey industry, including various land/utility/measured building surveying processes
-
High quality and discipline with all surveying methods, data management and deliverables
-
Ability to use your initiative, problem solve and work to deadlines.

Trainee CAD Technician

This permanent position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of different projects carried out throughout the country by our 5 regional offices.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and happy to work as part of the team or on an individual basis, we are looking for someone with the ability to think laterally, who possesses exemplary communication skills, has strong commercial awareness and someone who will provide a first class service to our clients.
The successful candidate will be trained in the production of 2D drawings (using AutoCAD software), from survey data collected in the field, processed and edited to a high standard to deliver to the Client.
